Disoriented –
life is sometimes
a bewilderment.
Its just those times
when life goes by,
contiguous.
& you stare – a spectator!!
Its in conflict,
it collides;
else, lurking low;
sometimes
a wild abrupt turn,
ignorant,
otherwise suspicious.
A prejudiced mess,
a wispy shadow;
a dilemma of perplexities.
And you still stare by
in exile –
the solitary bystander !!

Sam,this is such a beautiful poem. You defined life so nicely in just a few words. Life is like that, sometimes all we can do is to stand and see. There is confusion,frustration, and fear but yet we are just a silent bystander.

Solitary spectator. Love the choice of words. So true, it is indeed an irony where at times we are the makers of our own destiny, there are some moments where all we can do is stand and stare. Letting life unfurl itself.

You know what I love the most about your poetry, your choice of words. They are always just perfect, is stirring up the emotion you want to convey. What a way to describe the lack of control we have over life. We all are lonely bystanders in our own lives indeed!
